Our Firm

Prior to establishing Grigor Lawyers in 2006, Alastair Grigor worked as a commercial litigation solicitor at Maddens Lawyers and as a Senior Associate at Galbally Rolfe.

Grigor Lawyers is a boutique firm that practices in the areas of criminal and family law. Having had experience in numerous cases both in Victoria and interstate, our firm has the knowledge and resources and expertise to provide national representation.

Grigor Lawyers appear in all courts in all jurisdictions. We conduct cases as varied as bail applications, driving matters, assault cases, drug related matters, sexual assault cases, complex fraud litigation and murder trials. We have carriage of matters in the Magistrates’ Court, County and District Courts, Supreme Court, the Court of Criminal Appeal and High Court.

Alastair Grigor

Alastair Grigor

A former commercial litigation solicitor at Maddens Lawyers and Senior Associate at Galbally Rolfe, Alastair established Grigor Lawyers in 2006.

Alastair has acted in multiple high profile cases in the Magistrates’, County and Supreme Courts as well as the Court of Criminal Appeal. Alastair has also appeared at the Federal Court of Australia in relation to family law and bankruptcy matters.

Alastair has had the carriage of a number of trials, and acted on behalf of clients in Victoria and interstate and has appeared in South Australia New South Wales, Queensland, Western Australia, and. He enjoys a reputation as a hard-working lawyer who is known for his dedication and commitment.

Alastair has current memberships with the Law Institute of Victoria, Amnesty International, Liberty Victoria and is a founding member of the Victorian Defence Lawyers Association.

Jacob Slucki

Jacob Slucki

Jacob joined Grigor Lawyers in 2009 having completed a Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice from the Leo Cussen Institute.

Prior to that Jacob had completed a Bachelor of Laws with Honours and a Masters of Business from Deakin University in addition to a Bachelor of Science from the University of Melbourne.

Jacob has practiced exclusively in criminal law which and has acted in the defence of complex prosecutions including homicide, drugs, violent crimes and proceeds of crime. In addition, Jacob also handles asset confiscation matters, bail applications and summary offences.

Jacob regularly appears in the Magistrates’ Court, County Court and Supreme Court of Victoria and maintains membership with the Law Institute of Victoria.

Jordana Fayman

Jordana Fayman

BA, LLM (JD), Grad Dip LP

Jordana joined Grigor Lawyers in 2008 and holds a Master of Laws (Juris Doctor) from Monash University and a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne.

Jordana has extensive experience in criminal law and has acted on behalf of clients charged with matters including drugs, fraud, murder and sexual offences. Jordana has assisted in a number of high profile trials and has frequently instructs counsel in bail applications, contested committal proceedings and pleas in mitigation.

Since being admitted to practice, Jordana has regularly appeared in the Magistrate’s, County and Supreme Courts as well as handling appeals against sentence and conviction in the Criminal Court of Appeal.

Jordana maintains membership with the Law Institute of Victoria.

Jordana Fayman

Daniel Dalli

BA

Daniel joined Grigor Lawyers in 2012 and holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Melbourne (majoring in Criminology and Political Science) and studies his Juris Doctor at the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology.

Daniel has extensive experience in researching and preparing criminal and family law matters in a range of jurisdictions. Daniel has instructed on an array of matters and is responsible for a number of legal tasks on high profile cases including murder trials, complex drug matters, asset confiscation matters and bankruptcy proceedings. In addition, Daniel has had carriage of a range of family law matters ranging from initiating applications in the Federal Circuit of Australia to Child Protection applications in the Children’s Court.

Daniel has memberships with the Law Institute of Victoria and Amnesty International.
